the hungary realm was established in 895 by the hungarian tribes who came from west siberia. from 1526 to 1918 (the end of ww-1) hungary was part of the austrian habsburg empire, then it became a republic, since 1989, the collapse of the sowjet union, the country is fully independent.
the population is 9.8 mio, and the capital is budapest.
i have visited hungary in 1971 and 1981. at that time all my photography was done to create pictures for voyage albums. of these, just very few got scanned for digital pic's. thus only 3 images are presented here: a view on budapest's center beside the river danube, a country house in the unique "puszta" (the hungarian steppe), and exceptional "gellert" thermal pool which is designed similar to roman baths.
